Not a lot happened today. Josh goes through periods where he is relatively subdued and then seems to suddenly engage more, then he's back to subdued. He went through this cycle several times today. He threw a lot of balls, did a lot of looking at people in his room, went for a short walk down the hall, and took a lot of naps. He did have his trach tube replaced, going from a size eight down to a size six. This should help him progress with swallowing and, hopefully, talking. Since it was Sunday, there was no PT or OT. We look forward to that tomorrow.
We appreciate all of Josh's visitors and usually don't call them out by name, but we did want to send out a special thank you tonight to Josh's cousin AJ Hunt who traveled on Saturday morning all the way from Charlotte, NC where he is an intern with Wells Fargo to spend a mere 48 hours at Josh's bedside. AJ is headed back to Charlotte tonight on a red-eye flight. Thank you, AJ, for your love and support.
For those of you praying for our new friend Erin and her family, she finally started to come out of her coma yesterday, after more than two weeks. We see less of her family now that Josh is out of the ICU but still have them in our thoughts and prayers. We continue to hope for Erin's recovery and thank all of you who are supporting her too.
