We don't have much to report today because both of us were pretty much down for the count. We have both been sick for two weeks now -- Mary much worse than Paul -- and it feels like we aren't getting better. Mary literally doesn't stop coughing except for when she is able sneak a little sleep. (She has hardly slept for a week.) Paul has a pretty severe cough now too. And both of us feel completely run down and enervated.

For the second day in a row, Mary was unable to even visit Josh at the hospital. She was stuck in the apartment all day, with little energy and no voice. Paul made it to the hospital three times, but only for an hour or so each time, and then he had to beat a quick retreat to the apartment to sleep.

The good news is that we know Josh is well taken care of at the hospital. He had one-on-one care yesterday and today, so there is always someone with him. Today it was Macall and Haley. They both did a good job of getting him whatever he needs (food, bathroom) and helping him to have some fun too. Haley reported they spent some time in the PT gym singing Queen songs! When Paul left Josh's room just a few minutes ago, Josh was relaxed, in good spirits, and had a smile on his face. We are grateful for this.

Sorry for the short report. We'll be back tomorrow, hopefully in better shape and with more to share with all of our loved ones and friends. We still have more than 100 people reading this blog every day. Words cannot express how grateful we are for your love and support.
