Not a whole lot of anything exciting to report today. It is Sunday, so no classes and only one activity.

Mary was sick so she stayed home while Paul went to be with Josh in the morning. When Paul got to the hospital, Josh asked him, "Where did you park?" Josh also asked, "Where's Grandma?" We guess he really misses his grandma!

Of course there was air hockey. Lots of air hockey.

The one exciting thing we did was break the rules. We snuck Josh off campus in our car and drove to McDonalds for lunch. We don't have car privileges yet so this was verboten. But we figured it wasn't a big deal since we didn't even get out of the car. Josh seemed to enjoy it.

Josh's BA for most of the afternoon and the evening was Haley, who is Josh's (and our) favorite. She just seems to really enjoy hanging with Josh and Josh seems to enjoy it too. Haley first took Josh to T-Rec for inflatable archery. Instead of wasting 1,000 words explaining it, here is a picture:

It's like an inflatable bounce house with cones inside. The air goes through the cones and pushes balls into the air. The goal is to shoot the floating balls with a bow and arrow. Josh took a long time to aim, and had a hard time releasing the string. We heard he shot somebody accidentally and everyone laughed, but we weren't there for that.

Haley brought him back for dinner then the four of us went to the PT gym where Mary and Josh did some homework leg-strengthening exercises. Then Haley and Josh played basketball for nearly an hour. Of that hour, Josh spent 20 minutes aiming for one shot. We then got Josh back into bed, he took his various medications, and he was ready to go to sleep.

  1. Thanks for the update, Paul. We are lucky that you've arranged your time so well that you can give Mary a break when she needs it. She couldn't have managed, as she has done, without you. You are wonderful.
